Eco Club (Dharameet)

Dharameet, the Eco-Club of the Department of Education, was established in 2015 by the patron Dr. Nandita Pandey with the core objective of fostering environmental stewardship and leadership among the students.

Vision & Mission

The Eco-Club envisions a sustainable future where individuals are informed and active protectors of the environment, guided by the Jesuit ideals of service, justice, and inclusivity. The mission is to integrate ecological consciousness into the culture of St. Xavier's College and the broader community.

Our Motto

Operating under the motto "Serve to Conserve", the club elects its working & executive members at the start of each academic year. This is followed by a brainstorming session where the members collaboratively design the activity calendar for the year.

Objectives of the Club

  • To raise awareness about sustainability and environmental conservation by celebrating eco-days.
  • To promote active student participation in environmental activities within the college.
  • To empower students, staff, and the wider community to adopt and engage in sustainable practices.
  • By promoting environmental education, advocating for sustainable practices, running sensitisation programs, and engaging in conservation activities, Dharameet aims to inspire and empower individuals to act responsibly toward the environment.
