Rhapsody, Language Club

Rhapsody, The English Language Club provides a plateform, where students get a chance to practice many different skills in a setting that is more like real life. It is a vibrant and dynamic space for all the young minds eager to learn the language. Your club's friends will help you to speak more clearly and listen more carefully. The club is intended to inculcate literary taste, develop spoken and debating skills and the skill of creative writing among the students.

Our Vision

Rhapsody, The English language club is formed with a view to provide a platform to students where they can not only get comfortable with the English language but also express their thoughts effectively & effusively, and showcase their creative avenue through various activities conducted by the club.

Objectives

  • To be the armchair in which breathes our artistic conscience and imagination.
  • To promote English language as a medium of communication and expression among the college students.
  • To organize events that uphold the idea of creating, engaging and inspiring prolific minds within the college.
  • To publish yearly journal that contains the original creation of the student's creative avenue.
  • To perceive reality from an aesthetic perspective.
  • To set an example of co-operation and team work as a member of language club.
  • To be a support system in maintaing the high stands of the college.

Rules & Regulations

  • The club is only exclusive to the students of the Department of Education for membership.
  • The Core committee is chosen by voting. All members may attend and speak at any general meeting. All members shall be entitled to vote on any resolution. Voting shall be decided by simple majority of those present. Veto power rests with the secretary of the club.
  • The Club shall keep at its registered office a Register, in which the Secretary shall enter the following particulars: -
  1. The names and roll numbers of the members.
  2. The details of activities conducted.
  3. The expenses incurred by the club.
  • Cessation of Membership:
  1. By expulsion
  2. By resignation (Any member wishing to resign must send written notice to the Secretary and have his resignation formally accepted by the Committee).
  • Right and Obligation of the members:
  1. To elect and to be elected in any election of the society.
  2. To extend help during the events conducted by the group.
  3. To submit suggestions for discussion to the governing body of the club.
  4. To inspect the accounts and the proceedings of the meetings of the club on an appointment with the secretary.
